ABOUT US

LYNA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It is a faith-based Christian humanitarian aid organization that provides needed assistance to people with physical as well as spiritual needs. The organization’s president is Raymond S. Porter, a respected community leader. The name of the organization commemorates the New Testament Parable in which Jesus teaches people “The Golden Rule”, “love your neighbor as yourself". We also desire to create an open door for former gang members and ex-inmates that have fallen through the cracks and crevices of society, to receive help, by empowering them through education, job training and placement to help reduce America’s crime rate. LYNA also supports pro-life, we believe that human life is sacred, and that each person has been granted the God-given right to be treated with respect as an individual created in the image of God. Our duty, as Christians, is to “love thy neighbour as thyself” (Mark 12:31) regardless of race, gender, creed, nationality, or social status. We oppose all forms of discrimination, prejudice, and violence as incompatible with God’s design.
